Austin, TX – March 31, 2025 – Just in time for Earth Month, TreeFolks is excited to introduce the public availability of our Carbon+ Credits, a new initiative designed to help individuals and businesses take meaningful action to address climate change. By purchasing Carbon+ Credits generated by TreeFolks, supporters directly contribute to local reforestation efforts, restoring urban and rural landscapes while offsetting their carbon emissions in a verifiable and impactful way.
TreeFolks, a trusted leader in Central Texas reforestation, has planted over 3 million trees since its founding in 1989. Through the Carbon+ Credits program, the organization offers a way for corporations, small businesses, and individuals to align their sustainability goals with measurable carbon sequestration. Developed in partnership with City Forest Credits, Carbon+ Credits go beyond traditional carbon offsets—supporting biodiversity, improving water quality, and enhancing community resilience while also quantifying stormwater runoff and utility savings.
What are Carbon+ Credits?
Carbon+ Credits are enhanced carbon offsets that go beyond capturing carbon—they also improve air quality, reduce stormwater runoff, lower energy costs, and deliver measurable social and health benefits. The “+” in Carbon+ quantifies these added co-benefits, including stormwater mitigation and utility savings, making them a powerful tool for climate action and community resilience.
