Super Volunteer Advanced Training: NeighborWoods and Fruit Trees

NeighborWoods is giving away over 5,000 trees to the public this season and we need YOU to help these trees grow and thrive! Register here!

Learn everything you need to know to fill an educational role at a NeighborWoods tree adoption event and boost your fruit tree knowledge at the same time. The first part of this training will focus on tree selection, planting location, planting techniques, and care. Then we will move on to learn more about the fruit trees that NeighborWoods will be offering for adoption this season – pruning, pests, grafting – a little of everything.  Afterwards, you will have a chance to visit the TreeFolks Seeds-to-Trees Native Trees Nursery and see what we have been growing!

*The NeighborWoods program is a partnership with the City of Austin and Austin Energy.

This training is free and open to anyone, but you must register to attend. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gillian: volunteer@treefolks.org, (512) 761-8738 cell
