Ready, Set, Plant! at Volma Overton Shores

Join TreeFolks and our community partners for a seedling planting at Lady Bird Lake, Volma Overton Shores, 1537 West Cesar Chavez, Austin, TX 78703. TreeFolks will bring all the tools and materials needed, coffee, and light refreshments.

Ready, Set, Plant! is a volunteer tree-planting program that plants 10,000 trees each year along Austin’s creeks and rivers. In partnership with the City of Austin and Keep Austin Beautiful, we educate volunteers on proper tree-planting techniques and riparian restoration. Some of the benefits of creekside planting include cooler water for aquatic life, erosion control, and filtering pollutants from stormwater. Our family-friendly events allow community members to connect with Austin’s public lands.
