Ready, Set, Plant! at Janet Long Fish Park

Join TreeFolks and our community partners for a seedling planting at Janet Long Fish Park, 1419 Maier Drive, Austin, TX 78753. TreeFolks will bring all the tools and materials needed, coffee, and light refreshments.

Ready, Set, Plant! is a volunteer tree-planting program that plants 10,000 trees each year along Austin’s creeks and rivers. In partnership with the City of Austin and Keep Austin Beautiful, we educate volunteers on proper tree-planting techniques and riparian restoration. Some of the benefits of creekside planting include cooler water for aquatic life, erosion control, and filtering pollutants from stormwater. Our family-friendly events allow community members to connect with Austin’s public lands.
