Austin Water presents TreeFolks with Excellence in Water Conservation Award

TreeFolks was honored to receive Austin Water’s Excellence in Water Conservation award for its commitment to conserving Austin’s water resources and a sustainable environment.  Three other organizations received the Excellence in Water Conservation Award this year: Austin Independent School District, Foundation Communities, and Hops & Grain Brewing.  The award was presented to TreeFolks Executive Director, Thaïs Perkins during an awards ceremony at the Zilker Clubhouse on Thursday, March 26th.  The water utility presented awards to several businesses and organizations for their efforts to conserve water and improve water quality in Austin.  Thaïs took a photo of the award in front of Austin’s growing downtown skyline and beautiful tree canopy along Lady Bird Lake.
