TREEFOLKS ACCEPTS DONATION ON BEHALF OF BONTERRA WHOLE FOODS TREE PROGRAM
[Austin, TX] May 25, 2018 – On behalf of Whole Foods, Bonterra is donating $3,000 to TreeFolks to further empower Central Texas’ community through reforestation and education. Bonterra Organic Vineyards has been farming organically since 1987. Their inspiration for farming this way was simple: organic grapes produce the purest expressions of the varietals and land on which they are farmed. Organic farming and regenerative practices enrich the biodiversity in their vineyards year after year.
This spring, Bonterra and Whole Foods created their Whole Foods Tree Program. This program was created as an initiative to support organizations within Texas and Louisiana that are contributing to conserving the environment. With the support of this donation, TreeFolks can continue to implement programs throughout Central Texas such as Community Tree Planting, NeighborWoods, Trees for Blanco, Remove and Replace, and many more.
“Soil is everything. If the soil is not healthy and diverse with nutrients, other systems struggles and the resulting fruit from the vines are affected. There are many things we do to ensure our soils is as healthy as possible.” TreeFolks applauds Bonterra for their dedication to their vineyard’s environmental health.
