Free fruit trees for your house! Austin Energy customers can take home 2 free fruit trees per household to plant at home. It’s that simple! The trees will be given away on a first come first serve basis and we do expect there to be quite a long line. We’ll have ~1,000 trees in several varieties of peach, pear, plum,and persimmon. If those varieties don’t make your mouth water, we have a second fruit tree giveaway coming up on February 13th where we’ll have fig and citrus trees. Make sure to bring your utility bill or drivers license with an Austin address.
