Austin Arbor Day

Join us this Saturday to mulch trees in Zilker Park and help celebrate Austin’s Arbor Day!  Help us Celebrate Trees and Austin’s 20th Annual Arbor Day!  This year the City of Austin and area environmental groups will kick off our local tree planting season (October through March) with lots of fun activities that celebrate Austin’s deep abiding love of trees in our community.  Austin’s 2011 Tree of the Year and Community tree winners will also be announced.  TreeFolks will give away Texas redbud saplings and Barkley, our 8-foot, walking, talking, tree mascot, will also make an appearance.
